24 hour Assistance

Eurocamp Independent customers who have taken out the insurance offered by us have 24 hour access to emergency assistance. Eurocamp couriers undergo training on procedures for dealing with medical and vehicle emergencies covered by our policies and will liaise with the Assistance team as necessary.

Complete Package

In addition to our Standard and Plus Personal and Vehicle policies, we are able to offer insurance packages. For parties of 4 or more the personal plus package allows you to save compared with the cost of 4 individual personal plus policies. The family package is available for parties of up to 8 people (either family members or not) travelling together and booked onto one pitch at each site.

Short Break Insurance

The short break insurance covers you from £22pp based on being aged between 4 - 79 years at time of travel.

Free Camping Indemnity Card

Some sites ask customers to leave identification at reception. The Camping Indemnity Card is regarded as proof of third party liability insurance and as an identity document. Without it the site may ask to hold your passport for the duration of your stay.

The card is free of charge if you choose both of our Plus insurance options.

Free Insurance for Infants

If you take our Personal or Personal Plus options any infants (0-3yrs) are covered free of charge. You must make us aware of any infants which are travelling and the intention for them to be covered.

NEW Pet Cover included

Plus Cover only - if your return home is delayed more than 24 hours you are covered for additional kennel or cattery cost incurred (subject to terms and conditions).

NEW Disaster Cover included

Plus Cover only - if your tent or caravan or pre-booked pitch is damaged and cannot be used you are covered for alternative accommodation costs (subject to terms and conditions).

Personal Insurance

These policies, underwritten by Europäische Reiseversicherung A.G. (ERV) trading in the UK as ETI International Travel Protection and arranged by Voyager Insurance Services Ltd, are designed to cover you to the limits listed below.

This travel insurance policy will suit the Demands and Needs of an individual or group (where applicable) who are travelling to countries included within the policy terms and who wish to insure themselves against the financial impact of specified unforeseen circumstances/events relating to or occuring during their trip. Subject to policy exclusions, terms, conditions and maximum specified claim limits; full details of which may be found in your policy booklet. If you do not have one of these please ask for a copy to aid you in making your own informed buying decision.

IMPORTANT - we will not provide you with advice about the suitability of this product for your individual needs but we will be happy to provide you with factual information.

Policy Benefits

A Summary of the main policy benefits is shown below. These are maximum benefits (subject to terms and conditions). The amount that can be claimed depends on the actual loss. Limits on the ‘Plus’ cover replace the ‘Standard’ (please refer to the policy wording, available to download below, for differences between Plus and Standard policies). Benefits under Personal policies are per person unless otherwise stated. Excesses are applicable as shown in the Summary (please refer to the policy wording, available to download below).

Emergency Medical Expenses  If any member of your party becomes ill, you are covered (up to policy limit) for the cost of medical treatment, hospital bills, emergency dental treatment, return home by air ambulance if medically necessary and, where necessary, accommodation costs for someone to accompany you.

Hospital Benefit  This is a payment (up to policy limit)for every day you spend in hospital.

Personal Accident  This is a lump sum payment (up to policy limit) which will be made if you have an accident whilst on holiday which results in your death or disablement within 12 months.

Baggage and Money  If baggage or money is lost, stolen or damaged, it will be covered subject to policy limits. This includes cover up to £500 per party for baggage left out of sight in a locked vehicle overnight within gated boundaries. Theft of money and valuables from an unattended car is generally not covered. However we have negotiated with our insurers to include this cover if you are holidaying in a tent provided that your car is locked and parked on your campsite.

Cancellation and Curtailment  If you have to cancel your holiday (or return home early) because of death, illness or injury of a close relative or business associate, or because of redundancy, jury service, fire, flood or burglary at home you are covered for the cost of any unused part of your holiday (up to policy limit). You are also covered in the event of a ferry strike, provided it started after the policy was purchased.

Travel Delay  If your pre-booked outward public transport is delayed for more than 12 hours you can abandon your holiday and obtain a full refund of your holiday cost.

Personal Liability  If you cause an accident resulting in injury or damage to someone else or their property, you are covered (up to policy limit) against their compensation claims.

Legal Advice/Expenses  If someone causes your death or injury, you are covered for the cost of legal advice (up to policy limit) to help make a claim.

Passport  If your passport is lost or stolen, you can claim for reasonable costs (up to policy limit) incurred to get a replacement.

Pre-existing medical conditions  Unlike most travel insurance policies we do not automatically exclude all pre-exisiting medical conditions. Please check the policy document carefully for details of those conditions that are excluded.

Maximum age at the date of departure - 80 (85 years if appropriate premium paid)

Maximum period per trip - 91 days

Vehicle Assistance Insurance

Motor Breakdown

This insurance will suit the Demands and Needs of an individual wishing to insure themselves against unforeseen costs following the breakdown of a vehicle. Subject to policy exclusions, terms, conditions and maximum specified claim limits; details of which may be found in your policy booklet. If you do not have one of these please ask for a copy to aid you in making your own informed buying decision.

Policy Benefits
Vehicle Assistance insurance is only valid if the vehicle is not overloaded. If you take car insurance and you are towing a trailer or caravan, both the car and the trailer/caravan must be covered.

Roadside Assistance  You are covered for emergency call out costs, towing expenses and emergency roadside repairs to keep you on the road. The cost of parts is not covered.

Location and Freight of Parts  The cost of obtaining replacement parts (though not the cost of the parts themselves) and transporting them to your vehicle is covered.

Car Hire  If your car is stolen, involved in an accident or breaks down and cannot be made roadworthy within 24 hours, you are covered for the cost of accommodation while you wait for repairs to be complete. Alternatively, you are covered for the cost of  transporting you and your family to your destination to enable you to continue your holiday.

Break-in Indemnity  If, whilst you are abroad, your vehicle is broken into, you are covered for the cost of emergency repairs to make your vehicle secure.

Vehicle Repatriation  We will transport you and your vehicle home if your vehicle is not repairable. If you have to return home without your car, you are covered for you or a driver of your choice to collect the vehicle once it is repaired.

Bail Bond  If you are involved in a motoring accident in Spain you will be required to lodge a bail bond, the service of which may be guaranteed by this policy (up to £1,000).

Legal Expenses  If you suffer death or injury in a motoring accident, you are covered for legal expenses to help obtain compensation.

Significant exclusions and conditions


Medical Conditions existing prior to purchasing this policy - 1. This policy will not pay for any cancellation, curtailment or medical claims arising from any
medical conditions in respect of any person insured on this policy or others upon whose health your trip may depend if you answer “Yes” to any of Questions 1,
3 or 4 in your “Declaration : Important questions relating to health, activities and acceptance of your insurance”. If you have answered “Yes” to Question 2, there
is no cover unless you have obtained a certificate of fitness from your doctor before travelling to confirm your ability to travel and endure the trip. If you do not
obtain a certificate of fitness from your doctor before travelling, we will not accept one that has been issued retrospectively and your claim will not be met.
Age Limits - Please note the following maximum ages for cover to apply: Personal Insurance - not exceeding 85 years at date of departure (an additional premium is
required for party members aged 81 -85), Motoring assistance insurance - vehicle age not exceeding 14 years at date of departure (an additional premium is required
for vehicles aged 10 -14).
Maximum trip duration - The maximum duration of cover available is 91 days.
Eligibility/Country of residence - This insurance is only valid and available to you if you are normally resident in the United Kingdom: England, Scotland, Wales
and Northern Ireland.
Hazardous Sports & Leisure Activities - You are not covered for taking part in any Hazardous Pursuit unless it is listed as covered in the policy wording. Please
note that under the Personal Liability section you will not be covered for liability caused directly or indirectly by your owning or using firearms or weapons,
animal, aircraft, motorized vehicle, boat and other watercraft, or any other form of motorized leisure equipment, including jet skis and snowmobiles. This policy
does not cover Winter Sports.
Insured Journey - You are covered for holiday or leisure trips which begin and end in your home country, within the territorial limits, for which you have paid the
appropriate premium and not exceeding the maximum number of days shown in the benefits schedule for the cover you have purchased.
Cyber-terrorism - You are not covered for any consequences of Cyber-terrorism including but not limited to the delay or cancellation of flights due to the failure
of critical systems.
Curtailment - In the event of a curtailment claim you are covered for the emergency travel expenses (economy class travel only) in order for you to return to the
United Kingdom. You are not covered for any pre-paid, unused travel and accommodation expenses.
Volcanic ash - You are not covered for the delay or cancellation of flights on the order or recommendation of any civil authority, or at the initiative of the airline,
due to atmospheric volcanic ash.
War and Civil Unrest - You are not covered if you are travelling to or through a country or territory known at the time to be subject to War, or Civil Unrest or against
the advice of the Foreign and Commonwealth Office. See: www.fco.gov.uk
Law & Jurisdiction - The law applicable to the part of the United Kingdom in which you reside governs your policy.
Excesses - You and each person named on your Policy Schedule will be responsible for the first part of a claim made under certain sections of this insurance (as
shown in the benefits schedule) this is known as the “Excess”, unless you have paid the appropriate premium for Plus cover.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Motor Breakdown Significant Exclusions:

Condition of your vehicle - You are not covered for any claim where the vehicle is not in a roadworthy condition at the time of taking out this cover.

Repairing your vehicle - You are not covered for any claim for the cost of draining or removing contaminated fuel or other fluids other than recovery to a local garage.

Repairing your vehicle - You are not covered for the provision of service to vehicles temporarily immobilised by floods, snow-affected roads, sand or mud, situated in areas to which our agents have no right of access, or on motor traders’ premises.

Additional travel arrangements - You are not covered for costs incurred following your return home and you are not covered for repatriation of vehicle occupants injured in an accident involving the insured vehicle.

Important Features of your insurance

1. Insurance Document. You should read this carefully. It gives full details of what is and is not covered and the conditions of the cover. This will be sent with your Booking Invoice or is available upon request.

2. Conditions and Exclusions. Specific Conditions and Exclusions apply to individual Sections of your insurance, whilst General Conditions and Exclusions will apply to the whole of your insurance.

3. Health. This insurance contains restrictions regarding pre-existing medical problems concerning the health of the people travelling and of other people upon whose health the trip depends. You are advised to read the document carefully.

4. Property Claims. These claims are based on the value of the goods at the time you lose them and not on a ‘new for old’ or replacement cost basis.

5. Limits. This insurance has limits on the amount the insurer will pay under each Section. Some Sections also include other specific limits, for example, for any one item or for valuables in total.

6. Excesses. Under some Sections of this insurance, claims will be subject to an excess. This means you will be responsible for paying the first part of the claim. There are no excesses under our Holiday Cover Plus policy.

7. Reasonable Care. You need to take all reasonable care to protect yourself and your property, as you would if you were not insured.

8. Dangerous Sports and Pastimes. If you are going to take part in dangerous sports or pastimes where there is a risk of injury, check that this insurance covers you.

9. Customer Service. We always try to provide a high level of service. However, if you think we have not lived up to your expectations, please refer to the policy wording which outlines our Complaints Procedure.

10. Cooling-Off. This insurance contains a ‘cooling-off’ period of 14 days during which you can return it and get a refund if you have a justifiable reason for being dissatisfied with the cover provided.

11. Fraudulent claims. It is a criminal offence to make a fraudulent claim.

Exclusions applying to all sections of the insurance

  • You are not covered for any deliberately careless or deliberately negligent act or omission by you.
  • You are not covered for claims arising from loss of or damage to contents of the insured vehicle.
  • You are not covered for circumstances which were known to you at the time of taking out this cover, or at any time prior to the date of departure. Please refer to the section headed ‘important vehicle health check’ in the policy wording.
  • You are not covered for any expense which is covered by a different insurance policy or where cover is provided under any motoring organisation’s service or other service.
  • You are not covered for the cost of any optional personal accident insurance or other benefit not specifically covered under this policy.
  • You are not covered for the cost of telephone calls when contacting us. Whenever possible we will call you back as soon as possible.
  • You are not covered for any claim when you have not paid the appropriate premium for the full number of days comprising your planned trip, irrespective of when the incident giving rise to the claim may occur.
  • You are not covered for trips solely within your home country.
