Camping Birkelt is set amidst meadows and woodlands just outside the picturesque resort of Larochette, and offers an impressive range of modern facilities. The focal point is the domed 'all-weather' municipal swimming pool, which is free for campers. There are two tennis courts, a sauna and an excellent children's play area. The large grassy, open pitches are attractively separated by small rose bushes. Efficiently run, this site is ideal for young families, and its setting, in 'Little Switzerland' makes it a good choice for walkers and nature lovers who will enjoy the many footpaths. Impressive sandstone rock formations, waterfalls, small lakes and magnificent forests make up the area's fascinating landscape, dotted with medieval castles. Alternatively, Larochette with its shops and cafés is ideal for a day out. The site organises hot air balloon trips, allowing you to discover the delights of Luxembourg from the air. Location: Only 1km away from Larochette and 25km from the city of Luxembourg. Around & about: Larochette is overlooked by two medieval castles and the historic town of Echternach is just 16km away.
