As it is only a 20 minute drive from Calais, this 'Castels' site is ideally placed for those who want to explore this richly historic area of France. Found amongst the peaceful rural surroundings of an 18th century parkland estate, Camping La Bien Assise has neat, grassy pitches and is set around the wooded grounds of an elegant moated manor house. Facilities include an excellent restaurant, which is popular with the locals, a covered heated swimming pool and a tree top adventure course in the nearby forest of Guines. The campsite also arranges organised walks in the local area. Boating activities are available at the nearby Lac d'Ardres, whilst windsurfing, sailing and various other watersports can be found 15km away. Calais and Boulogne make for excellent shopping centres and the nearby coastline boasts numerous sandy beaches and bustling resorts. The atmospheric battlefields of the Somme are also within easy reach of the campsite. Location: Set in peaceful rural surroundings, 25km from Calais.
