Campsite Description

With its ideal beachside setting, Camping de la Pointe St. Gilles has long been a favourite with our customers. What's more, the site now boasts a new indoor/outdoor aquatic complex, complete with waterslides, lazy river and a paddling pool for smaller children. The new bar and restaurant (open high season only) set the scene for evening entertainment with a varied program, including magic shows, cabaret and quiz nights, catering for guest of all ages. The pitches are level and attractively separated by hedges whilst the sanitation blocks are well maintained. The site has a friendly atmosphere, a good supermarket and an excellent take-away service (open high season only). Just opposite the site lies a small beach with plenty of child-friendly rock pools, and a pleasant walk brings you into Bénodet where the bustling promenade overlooks an idyllic, long, sandy beach. There are many popular cafés, crêperies and restaurants in Bénodet, and boat trips run from here to Quimper. Location: The lively resort of Bénodet is a 20 minute walk along the coast. Around & about: Take a boat trip along the river Odet to the historic town of Quimper or visit the walled town of Concarneau with its great selection of seafood restaurants. Additional Activities: Enrol on a scuba diving course, just 7km from the site, where beginners and experts alike are welcome. If you fancy something more relaxing there is a thallasotherapy centre just 800m away, offering a variety of soothing treatments.
