Campsite Description

Camping La Yole is the ideal destination for a family holiday. The immaculate on-site facilities include a large, modern play area and an attractive pool complex with both a waterslide and indoor pool. In high season many activities are organised for all the family and weekly discos are held in the bar. The site is decorated with attractive flowers and shrubs, and most pitches are lightly shaded and divided by neat hedges. Location: A pleasant walk from the campsite will take you to two fine sandy beaches and just along the coast is the chic and lively resort of St Jean-de-Monts with regular markets where you can pick up some of the local produce. Around & about: One of the most popular destinations for a day out is the Atlantic Toboggan Waterpark at Merlin Plage. To the South is the attractive fishing port of St Gilles-Croix-de-Vie, offering numerous shops, cafés and restaurants. Should you wish to explore, venture slightly inland to the fragrant pine forests which are ideal for bike rides and picnics.

STADDEN, LA YOLE

LA YOLE AUGUST 2009 sufficient

We stayed at La Yole for the 1st two weeks of August, staying in our touring caravan with awning with out three children. The site itselfs is a safe place for the children, the pool was warm and kept clean at all times. Our pitch was on the small size, meaning that we had no where to sit outside in the sun etc. But bigger pitches are availabile, so ask the question. The toilets & showers were ok, a few of the showers were cold. To be honest I think these could have been cleaned more regular! Due to the number of people using them. One down side of the campsite is that they have bookings of all male and all female groups, having all been young before, we know a good time is had by drinking etc. But not so funny when you sleeping with small children and being woken early hours of the morning with gangs having parties etc. The campsite had got a security barrier with is good to stop unwanted visitors on the site, but bear in mind if you need to leave early for the ferry! They will not open it for you. Well stocked shop, with friendly staff, you pay a little extra for things but thats what you would expect on a campsite shop. Did not use the courier so would be unfair to comment. Did not use the take away so again can not comment on that. The beach is a fair walk away for children and not that safe, so a car drive is needed. The beach itselfs was amazing.
