Campsite Description

This superb 'Castels' site is located in the beautiful, wooded grounds of an elegant château. The camping pitches are large and neatly laid out in open grassland, meaning they are generally unshaded. A wide range of activities are on offer, including tennis, cycling, boating and fishing in one of the site's three lakes. Nature lovers will enjoy wandering through the extensive grounds, following the signposted walks. In the evenings, why not relax and enjoy an authentic French meal in the modern restaurant which has a terrace overlooking the superb pool complex. Or perhaps settle for a quiet drink in the cosy pub-style bar which is located in the tastefully converted outbuildings of the château. Location: The glorious Vendéen beaches are just a fifteen-minute drive away, and the stylish resort of Les Sables d'Olonne is also within easy reach. Around & about: Don't miss Le Puy de Fou where you travel back in time to witness Viking and Roman performances, jousting and fireworks.

From La Mothe-Achard: Take the D12, following signs for 'St-Julien' and 'St-Gilles'. When you get to St-Julien, turn right opposite 'La Jaunay' bar in the village centre onto the D21, sign-posted 'La Garangeoire'.
