Camping Bel has a fantastic location, just a short stroll from the delightful town of La Tranche sur Mer and one of the longest beaches in the Vendée. The friendly, peaceful atmosphere on this site has made it a firm favourite amongst families with young children, many of whom have become regular visitors. The facilities on site are extremely well maintained and you can spend long, carefree days relaxing on the sun terrace by the attractive pool. Children will love the superb Scandinavian style play area, which will amuse them for hours and the family film shows in the mini outdoor cinema are always popular. The camping area is neatly laid out with shrubs and poplar trees providing gentle shade from the hot summer sun. The nearby beach is perfect for swimming and sunbathing and you can always try a spot of windsurfing on the marine lake. Location: Camping Bel is close to the centre of La Tranche sur Mer, a typical Vendéen resort which is full of character. Here, there is a good selection of cafés and restaurants on offer and its beautiful floral gardens are a must-see. Around & about: There is a waterpark in the town of La Tranche sur Mer which is great for a fun day of splashing and sliding around. Or why not visit the ancient port of La Rochelle with its narrow streets, fortified harbour and fabulous aquarium. From here you can also take a trip to the chic Ile de Ré, famed for its wildlife and salt marshes.
