Campsite Description

Located in the heart of a large pine forest, with direct access to a beautiful long stretch of sandy beach, this large, well-established site is ideal for watersports enthusiasts or an active family holiday. The site boasts fantastic entertainment and facilities including a horse riding centre and 3 tennis courts. The focal point has to be the superb pirate shipwreck-style swimming pool complex which was renovated in 2009 and features a kid's lagoon, 2 spa jacuzzis and a wave pool, plus ample space for simply relaxing in the sunshine. In the evenings you can relax and enjoy the entertainment at the bar, tuck into a tasty meal in the site's grill restaurant, or participate in the weekly barbecues that the site arranges in high season - a great way to meet your fellow campers. Location: Close to a huge sandy beach and a short walk from the lakeside resort of Port d'Albret. Messanges is 1.5km away. Around & about: A short drive away is the popular town of Bayonne famous for its jazz festival and narrow streets lined with half-timbered houses painted in the Basque colours. As capital of the Basque country, this beautiful town offers great shopping and plenty of nice restaurants. Surfing enthusiasts will enjoy the Atlantic breakers and there are plenty of places for the less experienced to learn how it's done. A few miles inland are the huge lakes of Soustons and Léon, offering an alternative to the coast.
