Campsite Description

Les Tours sits peacefully above the clear waters of Le Lac de la Selves, which is an ideal spot for watersports enthusiasts. It is a spacious and well-kept site with grassy pitches of varying sizes, some of which are laid out on terraces overlooking the lake. The swimming pool complex and 'lazy river' prove to be particularly popular, and the restaurant and bar overlooking the lake are an idyllic setting for a relaxing drink or family meal. The site is in a tranquil, secluded location, but in peak season an 'animateur' organises sports competitions and activities for all the family, including discos in the bar, and the campsite also arranges rock climbing and bungee jumps in the nearby area for customers. Location: Les Tours is a well positioned campsite lying between the Auvergne and the Lot Valley and just 6km outside St Amans-des-Côts. Around & about: Close by are the stunning Truyère Gorges and a number of reservoirs which are great for swimming or fishing. There are also many charming medieval villages to explore. The enchanting town of Espalion, just 32km away, is rich in cultural heritage with its 13th Century red sandstone bridge and riverside Renaissance château.

Lesley Hemmingway, Les Tours

Les Tours good

Overall the site was good, the eurocamp couriers were excellent, friendly and helpful. The pools were good but the lazy river slides are only open for a short time each day and the paved area around the pool is crumbling resulting in small stones, concrete all over the floor area but flip flops/shoes are not allowed in the pool area; in addition some paving slabs are raised which caused some trips/accidents. The drains on some areas of the complex really smelt but reception were not really interested and did nothing, said it was the lake but clearly it wasnt otherwise the smell wouldnt always be in the same place! The lake is lovely and clean and well stocked with fish. The site is well spread out and not cramped at all. Would also advise anyone travelling to this site, especially towing a caravan that the journey is challenging, ie. steep hills with sharp bends.
