Right on the banks of the majestic river Dordogne, in the heart of the Périgord Noir and with stunning views of the impressive cliffs that overlook the site, Domaine de Soleil Plage is a beautiful location for a family holiday throughout the season. Benefitting from its own private river beach, you can relax in the sunshine or try your hand at canoeing from here. There's an excellent range of well-maintained facilities on site. Why not try a spot of tennis or mini-golf or simply unwind by the recently enhanced heated pool and enjoy the tranquility of the surroundings. Whichever you choose, what better way to end the day than with a meal in the site's lovely restaurant, equally popular with locals and holiday makers alike - a testament to the quality of its food. The site organises numerous sporting activities in high season, such as archery, mountain biking and climbing. Set in the grounds of a former farm, the pitches are separated by shrubs in an attractive camping area, which is divided into two sections, each with direct access to the river beach. Location: Set in a stunning area of the Dordogne valley, at the foot of wooded cliffs and close to the medieval towns of Domme and Sarlat, with its lively market. Around & about: Do not miss the beautiful gardens and Château at Marqueyssac (8km). Light shows are held here in July and August. The honey-coloured village of La Roque Gageac (5km), nestled under a cliff on the banks of the Dordogne, provides stunning photo opportunities. Castelnaud fortress (8km) is also worth a visit.
