Campsite Description

In a beautiful woodland setting, right at the heart of the Périgord region, St Avit Loisirs offers first class facilities, ideal for a family holiday, and makes a great base for exploring the photogenic surrounding area. A key attraction on site is the pleasant indoor swimming pool and jacuzzi, great for low season. The outdoor pool complex with waterslide will provide hours of fun for everyone, while the 'river rapid' ride is a firm favourite with children, and the young at heart! The campsite owners have also created a Fun Zone with golf driving range and putting green, quad biking and trampolining. This being one of our Action Station sites (see p.17), there are plenty more adrenalin-fuelled activities for the daredevils in your family. Traditional Périgord-style buildings house the reception, well-stocked shop, bar and cosy restaurant where you can sample delicious homemade regional specialities. In high season, the bar terrace overlooking the pool provides a focal point with regular evening entertainment. The camping area is spacious and lightly shaded, with mostly well defined grassy pitches and lovely views across the verdant countryside. Location: Set in a shady wood just over a kilometre from the Vézère River and 6km from the market town of Le Bugue. Around & about: Don't miss the medieval town of Sarlat, or the cliff top castle at Beynac.
