Campsite Description

This friendly, family-run site is situated less than an hour's drive from Amsterdam at the heart of Holland's flower growing region. Amenities are superbly maintained and include an imaginative indoor pool, a great play area and a restaurant in the style of a Dutch tavern, an ideal place to relax at the end of a busy day of sightseeing. The fishing lake on-site provides the perfect spot for winding down whilst gazing at the beautiful surrounding countryside. Pitches are divided into small bays, and parking near the site entrance ensures that traffic is reduced in high season. For a real taste of Holland, weekly excursions are organised to a clog factory, a cheese farm and to Amsterdam. Many cycle tracks lead directly from the site to nearby tourist spots including the Dutch beach resorts of Schevingen and Noordwijk although there are also some paths which meander through the nearby countryside of bulb fields where it is possible to spot the odd windmill or two. Some family entertainment is also organised during the Dutch school holidays. Location: Rijnsburg is located approximately 5km north-west of Leiden. Days out: Just 20km away, Scheveningen Sea Life Centre is a great family day out. The April flower festival at nearby Lisse is a major attraction and the Holland Festival in Amsterdam held throughout June is the biggest arts event in the Dutch calendar, with a wealth of cultural events on offer.
