Campsite Description

Camping L'Ardéchois is fortunate enough to be situated alongside one of the most attractive stretches of the River Ardèche. The camping area is flat and grassy with spacious pitches separated by hedges and trees and the site boasts a superb range of facilities including an attractive swimming pool with adjacent bar terrace, an imaginative mini-golf course and a sports field. In high season, an 'animateur' organises a variety of activities for all the family such as painting for children and ghost hunts for adults. Evening entertainment such as live music, magic shows and theatre productions are also arranged for customers as the site is keen to encourage an environment that is ideal for families. Location: The site lies just 5km from the famous Pont d'Arc which is an impressive natural stone arch towering over the meandering River Ardèche. Days out: Take a guided tour of the local caves at Marzal and Orgnac, where you will see some impressive stalactites and stalagmites, or head further afield to the caves at St Marcel and enjoy spectacular sound and light shows. There is also a crocodile farm, home to 500 different species which is close enough for a day trip. Around & about: From the site you can walk to the town of Vallon Pont d'Arc where you can partake in an organised canoe trip through the magnificent nearby gorges.
