Campsite Description
Le Château du Brévedent is a 'Castels' campsite which offers 'away from it all' relaxation in the heart of the beautiful Normandy countryside. Where the only sound to be heard is that of the birds singing, it is extremely peaceful and serene and ideal for families with small children. The spacious grassy pitches are generally terraced although there are some on level ground nearer to the lake. A popular focal point, the lake is also ideal for boating or for children to try their luck at a spot of fishing. There is also a great range of facilities onsite including a modern barn-housed restaurant serving a variety of fantastic dishes, complete with an outdoor terrace overlooking the impressive children's play area. The bar located inside the 18th Century manor house is the perfect stop off in the evening for those wanting to sample some Calvados (the famous local apple liqueur), and to chat to the charming owners of this family-run site. Location: 10km south-east of Pont l'Evêque, set in 6 hectares of lush green woodland. Around & about: Be sure to visit the elegant seaside towns of Honfleur, Deauville and Trouville.

Worth it for restaurant alone! good
Although the swimming pool here was quite basic, other factors more than made up for this. The restaurant was beautiful with a little veranda looking out to where the children were playing on the climbing frames. We ate here most nights as the food was lovely.
