Delftse Hout is a quiet campsite, which is located on the outskirts of the pretty town of Delft, close to the worldfamous Dutch bulb fields.
Especially ideal for couples, but also families with young children, the pitches here are well kept, and are neatly separated by mature trees and trimmed hedges. As well as the outdoor pool, there is a sand pit adventure playground for children, which is overlooked by the restaurant terrace. The food served here is fantastic, and the decor modern and tasteful. Adjacent to the campsite is a large recreational lake, which has a small sandy beach, and which is the perfect spot to take a refreshing dip, while away the day fishing or hire a rowing boat. In high season, bingo games, talent competitions and theme nights are held on site in the evenings, and walking and cycling tours are organised by day. A 15 minute walk from the campsite leads to the market square in the centre of Delft, which is famed for its blue pottery, and which is very pretty with pavement cafes, cosy bars and intimate restaurants.
