Chosen for its convenient location, just 12km from the A26 and A4 motorways, and just over 300km from Calais, this is a peaceful campsite which is ideal for an overnight stop.
The site is tucked away in a quiet residential area, and is next to a small fishing lake. The facilities are clean, and the camping pitches are level, with hard standing areas for motorhomes, and grassy pitches for tents or caravans. In high season, family entertainment including talent competitions, quiz nights and karaoke evenings are held in the campsite bar, and a takeaway also operates on site during this period. The campsite is a half an hour walk from the centre of Châlons en Champagne, where there are a number of lovely bakeries, intimate restaurants and a large supermarket. This campsite is also a good base for a few days exploring the surrounding region, and in particular for visiting the many champagne houses in Epernay (just 15 minutes away by car), where it is possible to purchase some excellent champagne and wine en route back to the UK.
