Le Château de Leychoisier Campsite
Bonnac-la-Côte, Loire
Highlights
- Beautiful surroundings
- Large pitches (200m2)
- Visit nearby Limoges
Hidden in beautiful rolling countryside, Le Château de Leychoisier is famed for being the inspiration for one of French writer Victor Hugo’s many poems.
Set in picturesque surroundings, there is an ancient fortress on site which dates back to the medieval ages, and forms a fantastic focal point to the large grassy pitches. Suitable especially for couples, but also families with young children, there is a small swimming pool on the campsite, and a lovely lake which is suitable for boating, swimming and fishing. The converted outbuildings now house an attractive bar and traditional restaurant, which has an outdoor terrace, and serves regional specialities. Ideal for those looking for a peaceful ambience, the campsite is well placed for visiting the famous porcelain capital of Limoges, as well as the other attractions of this lesser known, but very attractive part of France. It is also useful for those looking for an overnight stop campsite in central France.
