In a prime location between the lively resorts of Calella and Pineda de Mar, Caballo de Mar is a traditional family-run campsite offering first-class facilities and direct access to a wonderful sandy beach.
This is one of the oldest campsites on the Costa Brava but one that has definitely moved with the times. There is an impressive pool complex with dedicated toddler splash zone, whilst for the more active there’s a multi-sports area for football and basketball. The wide, sandy beach is accessed via a pedestrian underpass which also links the two halves of the campsite. The pitches here are well defined, separated by hedges and easily accessible owing to the flat nature of the camping area. Turn left out of the campsite and you can stroll along the promenade to the resort and tourist markets of Pineda de Mar. Turn right and you can head down the bar and restaurant lined streets of Calella. If you’re looking to venture further afield then walk the 10 minutes to the train station and hop on the train to Barcelona – you’ll be there in just over an hour!
