This rustic and peaceful campsite, has a lovely countryside setting, inland from the Vendée coastline.
Château La Forêt is a charming and quiet site, which is set in the grounds of a magnificent 19th Century château, close to the village of St Julien-des-Landes. Nestled amidst 100 acres of unspoilt wooded parkland, it has the feel of a traditional French country estate. The on site facilities include a treetop adventure course, paintballing field, and a recently added beauty therapy service, and in high season, quiz nights, barbecue evenings and live music performances are held on the lovely cobbled courtyard of the campsite bar. The camping area has pitches which are level and grassy, and most have shade from the surrounding trees. The campsite is within easy reach of the famous sandy beaches, lively seaside resorts and attractions of the nearby coastline, including the Château of Talmont St Hilaire. This medieval fortress is set upon rugged rocks, surrounded by water and famed for its association with Richard the Lionheart.
